Here is one of the awesome Hägglund transporters that the team down at Antarctica New Zealand use. This is it in its natural state, unlike the day we were travelling in it and it started to sink through the ice. That wasn’t the most serene travel experience I’ve ever had!
I’ve been up on Coronet Peak quite a bit over the past few weeks for an upcoming project which I’m looking forward to sharing. It’s been fun to see the ever-changing conditions and find different angles to capture. Here’s one of the views…
I’m hoping we can squeeze a few more weeks out of the awesome autumn/fall colors that are currently exploding around Queenstown (and Arrowtown) and then it’s on to winter in June/July… It’s been over a decade that I’ve been here, and it still feels a bit weird to have winter in the summer months. 🙂
The road from Queenstown to Glenorchy is a treasure-trove of awesome photography options. One day as I was returning home around sunset this lovely scene presented itself and I just had to pull over and grab the image.

This image was from a fun day with some friends a few years back in LA. I was there for some work for a collector of my Fine Art and was able to have an impromptu photo shoot with some friends at the collector’s house. This is Sacha, and over there in the background you can see Century City surrounded by the flatness that is LA. (I also remember we recorded this afternoon in 360 for Passport subscribers, so if you saw that back then you got a peek behind the scenes of this awesome home.)

It’s pretty much peak Autumn here in NZ. Normally at this time we’d be gearing up for a workshop but Covid put a stop to that for a couple of years. Here’s a view of Venice that you probably haven’t seen before. I grabbed this a number of years ago, back when the life of a quadcopter pilot was far simpler as far as rules and regulations go. Now, even though this was a reasonably straightforward flight with permission, it would probably not be approved. I heard it’s really tough to get any sort of flight approval ther enow. So, it was fortunate that I could get it done and that the universe threw in a nice sky as a bonus.
