Traveling Ratcliff Photo Circus Around The World!

Day 9 – Boarding the Train in India

We started out our “Train Boarding Day” with an insane breakfast where we all made some “bad” food decisions and ate too much! Then we were off to the local markets to get our girls some traditional Indian dresses which they absolutely loved. They were quite inexpensive too, under $15! Then we saw a rather unusual set of cultural dances that freaked out Ethan and me. Finally, we made it to the train station in Bangalore for a rather dramatic train boarding! Now we’re off for 8 days across the southern part of India… we’re all really excited and having a great time. Hope you enjoy the video! :)

Man, what a train ride! The likes of which I’ve never dreamed. I mean, walking along a carpet of flower petals, necklaces placed on the passengers’ necks, exotic paneling in the cars…man! Where did you get those reservations? How much did that ride cost?
I’m used to riding Metro North in and out of NYC. No leis on the neck. No warming smiles from the train workers.
And your hotel room? Man! I’d be tempted to go to India if I knew how to get those accommodations. Who’s your travel agent?
The photography is great. You are very talented. And I loved hearing the conversations you had with strangers, making friends easily. We can pick up quite a few pointers from you on that.
Overall, one of the more interesting videos I’ve seen in some time, and that includes cable TV. Great work, thanks for sharing.
