He noticed me taking photos of him from the shore… and he said, “I hope this turns out to be a good photo, because it might be the last time anyone ever sees me!”
Daily Photo – Hacking through the Ice
We went to go visit Captain Scott’s second hut, the Terra Nova, with a few geologists. They were charting the progress of the sea ice up on the edge of the hut. When not taking photos inside the hut, I would go outside to watch these guys hacking around the sea ice… it looked so crazy and awesome to me!
