Daily Photo – Mount Erebus from the Air
I took this photo from the cockpit of a CL-130. It was very lucky to be able to see this massive volcano so clearly! Did you know it is the southernmost active volcano? I often saw it erupt while I was there… I’ve never seen anything so surreal… a completely ice-white volcano that is always rumbling away. It’s just another incredible thing I saw down here that I can’t quite put into words.
