Daily Photo – The Opposite Hotel

What an amazing hotel in the heart of Beijing!  Thank you all for the suggestion to go here…  I love this kind of neo-modern-techno architecture, so it was a real treat to run around and take photos everywhere.  I was like a man possessed :)This is the lower pool area.  It was dark in there for sure.  I used a tripod to make sure the exposure was long enough to get the effect I was going for.The video on the right is from another part of the hotel… up in my room… where you can see some cool things as well as what was in my bag.

Super shot of the pool! Thanks for sharing.

I saw the video sometime ago already (through G+ I guess), but it’s always great to see how other photographers pack their photo bags.

Trey….do your laptop and iPad fit into your F-Stop backpack, as well?  I’m on the verge of purchasing one, but am not sure about its ability to handle a 17″ MacBook Pro and an iPad together.  Thanks!

Thanks – yes — I have this problem where a big part of the audience does not pay attention as much as you – so this is why I repeat stuff from time to time… sorry mate

I really love this space and your photo of it EXCEPT for those two life rings; they are simply too distracting and ruin (for me) an otherwise perfect shot.

Which of the “ICU” units are you using for your bag to hold the two bodies (large or x-large) and what is that external one for your gadgets called? Thanks.

Trey, thanks for making an Android app, just bought it, because I think it’s important to support artists without supporting draconian piracy measures.
I don’t know if I’ll use it much, but I love coming to this site every day and seeing the gorgeous pictures, which inspire me to try more photography.
I appreciate that you make all your images available for downloading at full size easily, with the creative commons lisence, because I just like storing them on my computer and occasionally looking over them, or using them to teach middle schoolers some basics of photography.
Please keep up the good work!-Nick
