The Golden Horse in Iceland

Charity Update

Thanks again everyone for contributing to Team Stuck In Customs on Kiva. I think we are over $11,000, and that is great. What have your experiences been like? Are people paying you back and you are reinvesting? I think all of my little loans have been paid back, so I gotta get back in there and find some new good entrepreneurs to support!

Daily Photo: The Golden Horse in Iceland

We worked on this one tonight in the webinar, and I hope people didn’t get too bored. It’s very strange, because I am talking to myself for over an hour, and I only get occasional feedback when Andrea stops watching reruns of Ricki Lake. Anyway, I’ll just assume that people like seeing it, since people keep showing up.

What beautiful horses – there’s that love for Iceland again – glad you get to go soon! The webinar was great!

Andrea has never, ever seen Ricki Lake, but I have seen Monty Python. And I love horses, especially ones with flaxen manes & tails. ;)

Nice job tonight on the webinar, Trey! That was fun.

Wonderful light and subtle tones with this Trey – tack sharp too… that trusty 50mm f/1.4 prime is certainly doing you proud!
I download this morning, the free upgrade to the ‘Digital Workflow’ eBook – excellent tutorial video (or should that be video tutorial – I don’t know!).. really enjoyed getting an insight into how you go about doing things – especially on the organising front!
Have a fab weekend all – ciao! :-)

Man, I was sooooo looking forward to the Webinar. Went to bed earlier than usual (for me) at midnight (Berlin) time, having set the clock for 2:45am (again, Berlin time), 15 minutes before the webinar would go live. I wake up, thinking I’m good, only to look at the clock to find it is… 4:16am! Ahhhhhh! That would be 16 minutes after the one-webinar should have ended. Now I’ve got to wait until the video is available later today or tomorrow, and I have to wonder what I might have missed in any BONUS minutes Trey may have dished out after the webinar, when the “cameras” stop rolling! Great image today, BTW. See you (hopefully) at teh next webinar session.

I love this image and the side lighting on the manes. Horses are so sweet, I love seeing them! It was really cool to watch you process your images in the webinar, I’m having a great time!

Wonderful photo of the Golden Horses in Iceland, Trey!! Have a great Friday. I still think your photo of the space shuttle is the best one I’ve seen!! See you tomorrow :-)

    The Webinar really is great.

The after-sessions are almost always as good as the primary session. Although, I’m kind of sorry I attended the after session for the Shuttle shots. Bear with me here..

I think the result turned out great and love the B&W treatment Trey used. Plus I learned some tricks from the master so that’s always epic.

My sense of remorse comes in that I actually saw, with my own eyes, the original RAWs and the wonderful blue skies before the B&W was made. Being a space nut and big kid when it comes to NASA things, I very much planned to use that shot as my desktop wallpaper .. like forever. But I need color for my wallpapers. The surrounding office is already corporate – greyscale.

Trey, I would pay you for a personal-use copy of that set of RAW’s, lol.

    Wow, that was off topic.

Great daily pic, sorry for the comment spasticity. +1 Troll Points -1 Cool points for me.

    Maybe I’m channeling Gonzo..

Hey Trey, just fyi, for the last week when I initially go to your homepage, it loads but it won’t scroll down for about 10-20 seconds. Normally it loads very fast. Anyone else having that problem? I know it’s only 10-20 secs so maybe I’m just spoiled. But just fyi….

Great image as always. I really enjoy Kiva. This post reminded me to check my account and I just hit the same number of loans as you! So far I’ve had good luck with all of them. It is great being able to take the same initial investment and using it again and again to help out other folks around the world. Proud to be on Team Stuck in Customs! :)

Groovy horse shot! The sunset just caps it off nicely.

As you know I love taking photos of animals too and I managed to get some over the easter break. This one is the best one i’ve processed so far :-
